What in-person therapy in Aventura looks like
Some women want the steadiness of a room that is only for them. You arrive, sit down, and for fifty minutes nothing else is asking for your attention. The Aventura office is set up for that kind of quiet. There is no waiting room full of people, no rushed check-in, and no need to explain yourself to anyone before you reach Miriam.
Sessions follow your pace. Early meetings focus on your present life, what brings you in, and what helps you feel grounded. Over time, if it feels right, the work may turn toward childhood experiences, protective patterns, or the mother wound. EMDR, IFS, inner-child work, and somatic awareness may be part of care when they fit what you need.
Who Miriam works with in North Miami-Dade
Many of the women who come to the Aventura office are accomplished and exhausted. They run households, teams, or businesses, and they are the person everyone else leans on. Underneath, they may feel like they are never quite enough, struggle to say no, or replay conversations long after they end.
Miriam works with women processing their own childhood experiences: criticism or emotional distance growing up, approval that felt conditional, or a relationship with a mother or mother figure that still aches. She also supports women with anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, relationship patterns, and chronic pain.
Getting to the office
The office sits on NE 191st Street in Aventura, close to Biscayne Boulevard and the Aventura Mall area, which makes it reachable from most of North Miami-Dade and southern Broward in a short drive. Clients come from Aventura itself as well as North Miami Beach, Sunny Isles Beach, Hallandale Beach, Golden Beach, Bal Harbour, and Surfside.
If you are farther away, or if getting to an office in the middle of a workday is not realistic, Miriam also meets with Florida clients by secure video. Some clients alternate, coming in person when they can and meeting online when life is full.
Starting with a conversation
The first step is a free consultation. It is a chance to say a little about what has been going on, ask questions, and get a sense of whether working with Miriam feels right. You do not need to have your story figured out. You do not need a referral. You can schedule online through the secure SimplePractice portal or call 347-926-3659 and leave a confidential voicemail.
