Childhood trauma therapy for women
You don’t have to earn your worth.
Therapy for high-achieving women navigating childhood wounds and self-doubt.
EMDR, inner-child work, and support for the mother wound with Miriam Klein, LCSW. Licensed in Florida & New York.
Your first step can be a conversation.
Complimentary. Personal. At your pace.
When the past feels present
You can be accomplished and still feel like you’re not enough.
You may be the one everyone relies on, yet feel guilty saying no, replay every conversation, or push yourself past exhaustion. For some women, these patterns began in childhood, when approval felt conditional or there was little room for their needs.
Therapy offers space to understand that history without judging the ways you adapted. Together, we can explore childhood wounds, notice what still feels tender, and practice relating to yourself with greater care.
My focus
Care for old wounds and life today.
Childhood trauma and inner-child work are central to my practice. I also support women with anxiety, self-esteem, depression, and relationship concerns.
Childhood trauma
Explore how early experiences still shape your sense of safety, self-worth, and relationships.
Inner-child work
Make space for unmet childhood needs, the mother wound, and the parts of you still seeking care.
Low self-esteem
Quiet self-criticism, build stronger boundaries, and begin trusting what you need.
Anxiety
Understand the patterns beneath worry and learn to feel steadier in your body and your choices.
Depression
Find support for heaviness, numbness, and disconnection while taking realistic steps toward relief.
Couples therapy
Slow reactive cycles, improve communication, and create more secure ways of relating.
Therapy group
A six-week chronic-pain group for women ages 19–40, focused on mind-body connection and support.

Meet Miriam
A place for the parts of you that learned to go without.
I’m Miriam Klein, a licensed clinical social worker and the founder of Healing + Renewal. My work centers on women healing from childhood wounds, including the mother wound and the belief that they need to do more to be enough.
I’m trained in EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Depending on your needs, our work may also include inner-child work and somatic awareness, with room to build trust before approaching painful experiences.
