Childhood is a central focus of Miriam’s trauma work. Sessions may explore painful experiences in early relationships, emotional needs that went unmet, or the ways you learned to protect yourself. You can also seek support for trauma experienced later in life. You do not need a complete account of your past to begin a conversation.
Miriam is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Care starts with your present needs and ways to feel grounded. When appropriate, these approaches, inner-child work, and somatic awareness can be part of exploring painful memories and protective patterns. Miriam explains the options with you before deciding how to proceed.
Trauma-informed care begins with listening to what feels safe enough today.
