Inner-child work is a way of making room for feelings, needs, and beliefs connected to your younger self. The mother wound describes pain connected to your relationship with your mother or a maternal caregiver. It is not a diagnosis, and it does not tell the whole story of your family. What matters here is understanding your experience and what you need now.
Miriam’s work with women includes childhood wounds and self-worth. Inner-child work may sit alongside Internal Family Systems (IFS), which explores different parts of your inner experience, as well as EMDR or somatic awareness when appropriate. Together, you can get curious about the ways you learned to cope and practice care and boundaries in the present.
There is no requirement to blame, forgive, confront, or reconnect with anyone. You and Miriam can decide what feels relevant to your care.
