Anxiety

Anxiety Therapy Sessions for Women

Anxiety often stems from wanting to control something that we can’t. There are many different ways that anxiety manifests. One can experience social anxiety, generalized anxiety, existential anxiety, etc.

Anxiety can really take away from someone’s quality of life, and it can be a struggle to know how to handle it without the right tools.

I work with you to help you develop an awareness of your body and to notice where your anxiety shows up. I’ll work with you on developing skills to relax your body and nervous system.

I’ll help you tune in to what feels good and what doesn’t, and I’ll help you use your anxiety as a tool to notice when something feels right and when something doesn’t feel right. When we start to be less afraid of our anxiety and instead lean into it, our symptoms often dissipate.

What are the warning signs of anxiety:

At Healing Renewal, we understand the journey toward mental well-being is personal and unique. Anxiety isn’t just about feeling stressed or worried; it’s a more persistent condition that can significantly impact daily life. Let’s uncover the layers of anxiety to reveal its early indicators, specifically in women.

  1. Overwhelming worry: When worry paralyzes day-to-day actions because of fear, it might be more than ordinary stress. Relentless worry can be a sign of anxiety.
  2. Insomnia: Struggling to sleep or to stay asleep can be a signal of anxiety. The body and mind might ask for help if restless nights occur frequently.
  3. Body tension: Constant muscle tension, especially around the neck and shoulders area, can be anxiety manifesting in ways that can cause not only discomfort but also long-term harm if not treated promptly.
  4. Experiencing agoraphobia (Fear of social interactions and public spaces): If the idea of interacting with other people feels overwhelming, it could be a sign that anxiety is present. This can lead to extreme isolation, leading to more challenges in the future. Therefore, it’s worth exploring the reason a person is experiencing any of these signs.
  5. Panic attacks: Anxiety manifests clearly with panic attacks, as some of the symptoms include loss of control, rapid heartbeat, trouble breathing, and intense fear.
