Low self-esteem

Low Self-Esteem Therapy Sessions for Women

It can be so challenging to suffer from low self-worth. When we struggle with low self-esteem, it often leads us to people-pleasing behaviors, giving to others more than we give to ourselves, and not believing in ourselves enough to invest in ourselves.

Low self-worth often stems from childhood or other negative events that happened in your past to create a negative belief system. I help you learn how to utilize coping skills to manage your core negative beliefs. I also work with you so you can learn how to be empowered to set boundaries with people in your life.

I’ll explore what your passions are and help you start engaging in things that matter. I will also work with you on inner child work and help you speak to your inner child in a way they would have wanted to be spoken to.

What are the warning signs of low self-esteem:

Depression symptoms can often be challenging to catch. Each person experiences depression differently, so it’s all about recognizing alterations that seem inconsistent with one’s usual self. Here are some warning signs that can help identify the presence of depression:

  1. Consistent sadness: A distinctive signal can be lingering sadness happening more intensely than the occasional blues.
  2. Losing interest in hobbies or social activities a person typically enjoyed: The lack of joy in hobbies or social engagements a person used to find excitement is a gentle yet profound signal that depression might be developing. At Healing Renewal, we understand this is a sign that it’s time to talk with a professional before it can escalate.
  3. Easily frustrated or irritable: It’s human to feel irritated or angry. However, when these emotions intensify or become the go-to response to minor disturbances, they usually have a deeper meaning. These intense emotional responses can often be the way depression masking itself.
  4. Feeling discouraged or hopeless: Depression can diminish the confidence and vision a person has toward their future. This perspective can lead to reckless behavior as the usual concerns about consequences begin to fade. These attitudes are a critical cry for help to seek professional support.
  5. Self-doubting and insecurities: One of the most painful signs of depression is the cycle of self-criticism and feelings of worthlessness. It can lead to persistent feelings of self-doubt that can become everyday habits. This cycle can profoundly affect a person’s life, urging withdrawal and isolation. At Healing Renewal, we understand that recognizing these feelings is a significant step towards healing.
